We are a group of parents/family members providing support for North High Schools JROTC. We encourage all cadets’ parents to participate in what they can help. We provide chaperones for events, fundraising support and aid as requested by the program instructors. Everyone is not only welcomed, but encouraged to participate.

Our biggest event of the year is the West Coast Regional Golden Bear Drill Meet. North High JROTC hosts the Regional Drill Meet which is currently the largest on the West Coast. The Parent Support Group provides set-up assistance, scorers, tabulators, helps provide meals for our Battalion, sells food, and provides clean-up assistance.

Our primary assignment has been to provide chaperones for general activities. There are occasions when we drive cadets to events if other transportation isn’t available. Once we are at the event, we show support for our cadets and cheer them on. Female chaperones are especially needed for overnight events such as Summer Camp and Leadership Camp— which take place at Camp Pendleton. Special Teams has out-of-state, overnight competitions for which they would also need female chaperones

The JROTC Parent Support group meets the first Thursday of every other month, at 7:00pm, in G-4, the JROTC room on the North High School Campus off of Yukon. We encourage all parents to join us and share your ideas.
